Obituary: Fruit grower James Lerew

Pennsylvania fruit grower James C. Lerew, 65, died March 17.

Born Jan. 9, 1950, Lerew was son of the late Paul B. and Carolyn (Sponseller) Lerew. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Terry (Keller) Lerew; three sons, Daniel and wife Cheryl-Lynn, Thomas and wife Kerry, and Benjamin; granddaughter Taryn; and three brothers, Parker, John and Joe Lerew.

Lerew spent his time diligently working alongside his brothers in the family orchard in the mountains of Cameron County, Pennsylvania. His dedication to his farm land was evident through his work with the Adams County Fruit Growers, the State Horticultural Association of Pennsylvania and SHAP’s Research Committee.
