Need help identifying an apple variety?
The Apple Name website helps users identify apple varieties by providing a list of key features and attributes for each variety. Users can use a checklist on the website to narrow down matching varieties.
Apple Name also offers information on the key identifiers for apple varieties: bloom, era when an apple tree was first planted, russet, and stem. More than 90 varieties are featured on the variety identification site.
The website is managed by the Seattle Tree Fruit Society, in partnership with the Western Cascade Fruit Society Chapters, Home Orchard Society, BC Fruit Testers Association, and Orange Pippin.
