Fruit, nut prices up from a year ago

According to a July 30 price report from the National Agricultural Statistics Service, the U.S. fruit and nut industry received about the same overall price for its crops in July as it did in June. The overall price went up 8.1 percent from a year ago, however. Price increases for lemons and oranges offset price decreases for grapes, strawberries, peaches and pears.
