GFVGA loses two key contributors to association

The Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Association (GFVGA) has recognized the loss of two of its supporters this summer.

The announcement reads as follows:

“Steve Sumner, Omega, Georgia, the GFVGA Vice President and longtime board member went home to be with the Lord in June after a long battle with cancer. He was very involved with the local FFA club and committed to service of the fruit and vegetable industry through his involvement with GFVGA. Steve, thank you for your selflessness and service to this association and this industry.  Our prayers are with your family and you will be greatly missed. Past GFVGA President Charles Hart, Americus, Ga, passed away just earlier this week. Charles was a faithful supporter of GFVGA and in his time as president, led with integrity, Godliness and positivity.  He was a pillar in his community and involved in several leadership roles.  Charles, thank you for your leadership within our industry. You will truly be missed and our prayers are with your family. To read more about Charles and how to help honor him and support his family, click here.”
