National ag employers’ organization head Gasperini to retire

Frank Gasperini, president & CEO, National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE), has announced his pending retirement. A search process has been initiated to find his replacement, who will takeover the position later this year.

Frank Gasperini

Gasperini, a columnist for Fruit Growers News, said he will remain involved with the Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) as it plans a North American safety summit third week of February 2018.

The Washington, D.C.-based NCAE focuses on agricultural labor issues from the employer perspective and is active in broad coalitions to promote positive immigration reform and labor enforcement at the federal level.

Prior to joining NCAE Gasperini held a variety of sales, marketing, and professional association staff positions in agricultural industries. His background includes both specialty and production agricultural marketing, issues-management, and lobbying legislators and regulators at the state and federal levels.

A native of Ohio, Gasperini received Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Agriculture from The Ohio State University and his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, Chicago. He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) credentials in 2006.

Gasperini is a frequent speaker on government affairs issues important to agricultural and specialty crop communities around the country. He and his wife Sandy live in Leesburg, Virginia.

This is the announcement on the NCAE website:

“The National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE) is the national trade association representing agricultural employers and agri-businesses with Congress and federal agencies. Our members are growers, dairies, nurseries, associations, and others whose business interests depend on labor intensive agriculture.

Due to the impending retirement of NCAE’s current President, NCAE seeks a successor to lead our association into the future.

Candidate must have significant agricultural policy experience, preferably with labor intensive agricultural employer issues, demonstrated association management and leadership ability, experience working with boards and member volunteers, and ability to direct association’s finances and compliance reporting.

NCAE will accept applications by July 31, 2017. It is our intent to conclude the interview process by mid-September with a start-date between mid-October and mid-November 2017. For confidential consideration, please send a cover letter (including salary requirements) and resume to [email protected]. No phone calls, please.”
