Obituary: John H. Baugher

John H. Baugher, 88, died at his home on Jan. 2, 2017. He was born June 19, 1928 to the late George L. Baugher and Julia Maddox Baugher. He was the husband of Nadine J. Baugher, to whom he was married for 65 years.

He was the manager of Adams County Nursery for many years and continued to be active in his family business until his death.

He served as president of the Pa. Cherry Growers Association and the Adams County Fruit Growers Association. He was on the board of directors at Knouse Foods Cooperative, as well as The Mountain Orchard Cooperative.

He was awarded Master Farmer in 1976. He also served on the Penn State Extension Board, the Christ Lutheran Church Council and the Upper Adams School Board.
