Workshop to help organic growers develop custom food safety manuals

The Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (GFVGA) next week will host a workshop for growers looking to create customized food safety manuals for their farms.

The one-day, hands-on workshop will take place Tuesday, Aug. 8 at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia. The event will help growers understand the basics of food safety as well as know how to create customized food safety manuals for their farm operations. The workshop will have a focus on organic production but isn’t limited to organic producers.

More information and registration details of the workshop are available on the GFVGA website.
