Apple conference more important than ever

For the first time, USApple’s Apple Crop Outlook and Marketing Conference will be the only source of information about the upcoming crop size, quality and variety. This makes attending the conference even more important to learn what’s ahead in the marketing year.

A crop estimate from USDA will not be available, since it was suspended due to loss of funding from federal sequestration. In fact, USDA halted its entire non-citrus fruit, nut and vegetable program analysis and reports.

This includes the important August 2013 apple crop estimate, as well as the final 2012 apple crop production report.

The 2013 Apple Crop Outlook and Marketing Conference will be held Aug. 22-23 in Chicago.

As the leading global meeting of the apple industry, the conference attracts industry leaders from the United States and around the world, representing all segments of the apple industry including production, packing, processing, sales, marketing and new products.

Ever-changing consumer interests and economic trends continue to drive the year-round demand of apples and apple products worldwide, leaving apple growers and marketers to constantly pursue ways to efficiently produce and effectively market their fruit. Learn from industry experts about innovative marketing initiatives, retail sales trends and promotion tactics for Millennials and future generations.
