Belchim USA, ag consultants association award scholarship

Belchim Crop Protection USA (Belchim USA) recently funded a $2,000 LACA Scholarship, which was awarded by the Louisiana Agricultural Consultants Association to Bryan Ashley, a current undergraduate attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe. This announcement and presentation was made at the Louisiana Agricultural Technology and Management Conference (LATMC) held in Marksville, Louisiana.

Being a true “boots in the field” company, Belchim USA strongly believes in helping develop students who will become the future leaders of agriculture in the United States. “Being a former recipient of a LACA Scholarship, I personally understand how it can help students who are focused on a career in agriculture,” says Dennis Long, Technical Service & Development Manager – East for Belchim USA. “It’s exactly this type of scholarship that helped me get through college at LSU and successfully pursue my passion in the industry.”

The recipient of the award – Bryan Ashley – grew up on his family’s farm in Louisiana, where his insider’s perspective fueled a desire to enter the industry himself. He is currently in his final year, pursuing a degree in agricultural business, and plans to start a career as an agricultural crop consultant after graduation.

“Bryan is exactly the type of recipient that Belchim USA is proud to support,” says Dennis Long. “Much of the audience that I presented to has been in the industry as long as I have, so it’s exciting to meet and be able to invest in the next generation who will continue the same passion for agriculture.”

Belchim Crop Protection NV (Belchim) empowers farmers through innovative crop protection products and high-end technical support.
