BioSafe adds viticulture expert to team

Jodi Creasap Gee, a small fruit plant pathologist, is joining BioSafe Systems and adding her professional and expert support to our research at headquarters and sales in New York.

Gee earned her Ph.D. from Cornell University in Plant Pathology and spent five years as the Viticulture Extension Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension in the Lake Erie Region. Her expertise in viticulture and berries makes her an asset for northeast winegrowers struggling to control pests like powdery mildew, spotted wing drosophila, or sour rot.

At Kent State University, she participated in the Viticulture and Enology Program studying grape cultivation and winemaking. Most recently, Gee led the online mentoring program, PlantingScience through the Botanical Society of America, a free online resource for educators and students.

Gee looks forward to joining the BioSafe Systems’ team to empower growers with shared intelligence and experience and improve their sustainable agriculture pest management practices.
