Blueberry Summit registration opens

Registration is open for The Blueberry Summit.

The event, scheduled for Sept. 27-29 in Savannah, Georgia, is designed to allow blueberry industry people, including growers, shippers, distributors and marketers, to network and learn the latest information on blueberry production trends and marketing, according to a news release.

While topics for the event’s sessions are being developed, the event includes a 2023 crop report as well as tours of southeast Georgia blueberry growing operations.

“Connect and collaborate face-to-face with blueberry industry members from all over the country,” organizers said in a news release. “Attend one of the many engaging educational sessions, while just steps away from the area’s fine dining and historical experiences.

Conference organizers advise participants to remain on the lookout for details on this year’s educational sessions, keynote speakers, exhibitors and other new event details. “We can promise you one thing, this summit will surely be one worthy of an award, possibly even Hall of Fame worthy,” officials said in the release.

All members of the blueberry industry are welcome to attend the USHBC Industry Engagement Committee meeting. NABC will host a crop report and board meeting. Attendance of the NABC meeting is complimentary for active members of the NABC. Nonmembers may attend by applying for membership or purchasing a ticket.

An early registration discount is available before prices increase, according to in the release.

Rooms are limited and selling out fast, according to in the release. Organizers urge booking rooms by Aug. 25 or before the block sells out, according to in the release.

“Connect, learn and have fun,” sponsors said in the release. “The wait is over! Join the excitement! The blueberry industry has never been more exciting. Although it isn’t even summer yet, we can’t help ourselves from looking ahead to this fall’s Blueberry Summit.”

A new “Show Us Your Badge” program will allow summit attendees to receive discounts on Savannah tourist locations and experiences, according to in the release.

In the heart of downtown Savannah, the DeSoto Hotel has welcomed four presidents and dozens of personalities, according to in the release

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council and North American Blueberry Council are event sponsors.
