December apple holdings down

U.S. fresh-market apple holdings on Dec. 1 were 91.3 million bushels, a 4 percent decrease from December 2009 holdings and 1 percent less than the five-year average.

Total processing apple holdings on Dec. 1 were 35.4 million bushels, 8 percent below 2009 and 17 percent below the five-year average, according to the U.S. Apple Association.
