Jan 17, 2018Farmers Market Workshops scheduled in Washington state
In 2018, the Washington State Farmers Market Association (WSFMA) will host two two-day Farmers Market Workshops; one of these events will be in Renton and one in Spokane. This is a new opportunity for WSFMA to offer more in-depth training for farmers’ market leaders on specific operational topics. There will also be time to network and socialize with fellow market staff and board. This workshop format will replace the WSFMA annual statewide conference this year, but WSFMA will host its annual conference in 2019 celebrating its 40th anniversary as an organization.
These training workshops will be an opportunity for market staff and board members to take dive into topics such as:
- market promotions and marketing
- data collection
- financial tracking
- board and staff development
- best practices for the industry
