Food safety posters for Washington state tree fruit industry available

< 1 minute read
The Washington State Tree Fruit Association has developed posters for tree fruit orchards and packinghouses, designed to enhance food safety training efforts. These posters were produced with WSDA Produce Safety Program Grant funding.strategies for optimizing fruit set.

Posters and signs are valuable training tools that will remind employees to implement food safety practices at their workplace every day and are especially effective when they are placed in high traffic areas like restrooms or break areas. They can also help reinforce food safety training during review sessions or at new employee orientation.

The WSTFA posters were designed to emphasize principles of worker hygiene, cross-contamination prevention and food safety during tree fruit production. All the posters have recommendations in English and Spanish.

You can download the posters at no cost from the Training and Education Portal on their website www.wstfa.org.  WSTFA will print posters in outdoor banner material by request at no cost to their members. They will take orders untilFriday, April 24through this order form, and have the posters ready for pick up at their Yakima or Wenatchee offices on a designated date and time. Please fill out the form and send it to Joane Rouse at joanne@wstfa.org.
