Michigan Apple Committee adds new regional manager

The Michigan Apple Committee has appointed John Woodall as regional manager covering the northern region of the United States. Woodall replaces Mike Bardon, who retired in June. Cam Harrington remains on staff covering the southern region.

“John comes to us with a great deal of experience in the retail arena,” said Diane Smith, executive director of the Michigan Apple Committee. “We welcome his energy and enthusiasm, as well as his strong work ethic. I am confident he’ll use his talents to implement meaningful programs that benefit both our retail partners as well as the 825 growers MAC represents.”

Most recently, Woodall served as produce/floral specialist for Lucky’s Market, based in Denver. Prior to that he had roles as produce buyer for Crosset Company and Caito Food Service, with specific experience in the apple category at both companies.

“I’ve spent most of my career working in produce retail, and I am excited to begin representing Michigan Apple growers in the retail marketplace,” Woodall said. “I hope to use my experience as a produce buyer to continue to grow the presence of Michigan Apples at retail.”
