Here’s more from the Seattle Times:

West Mathison “was appointed to provide insights on his respective business sector and offer observations on the economy,” said Steven Fisher of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

As part of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco — with branches in Seattle, Los Angeles, Salt Lake and Portland — provides wholesale banking services to financial institutions in nine western states.
