Stu Monaghan, produce industry veteran, dies at age 52

“It is with deep sadness that the Giumarra Companies announces the passing of Stu Monaghan. Mr. Monaghan passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26 in Vero Beach, Florida after an eight-month battle with brain cancer. He was 52 years old.

Mr. Monaghan was born on July 29, 1966 in Niagara Falls, New York and moved to Winter Park, Florida when he was three years old. He spent over 30 years of his career in the freshproduce industry, working in various sales and management roles. He joined Giumarra in early 2017.
He is survived by his partner, Kristina Lorusso, Regional Business Development Director for Giumarra, and her son, Jonah; his three daughters Caitlyn, Carly, and Ava Monaghan; his mother and stepfather, Mona and Relf Crissey; his father, Richard Monaghan; and his brother, Alan Monaghan.Information regarding a memorial service will be available at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to VNA Hospice House (www.vnatc.com), 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
