Los Angeles, California-based Giumarro Companies has announced that produce industry veteran Stu Mohaghan has died.

“It is with deep sadness that the Giumarra Companies announces the passing of Stu Monaghan. Mr. Monaghan passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26 in Vero Beach, Florida after an eight-month battle with brain cancer. He was 52 years old.
Mr. Monaghan was born on July 29, 1966 in Niagara Falls, New York and moved to Winter Park, Florida when he was three years old. He spent over 30 years of his career in the freshproduce industry, working in various sales and management roles. He joined Giumarra in early 2017.
He is survived by his partner, Kristina Lorusso, Regional Business Development Director for Giumarra, and her son, Jonah; his three daughters Caitlyn, Carly, and Ava Monaghan; his mother and stepfather, Mona and Relf Crissey; his father, Richard Monaghan; and his brother, Alan Monaghan.
“We will always remember Stu’s commitment to our industry, good sense of humor, and ability to connect with growers and customers alike,” says John Corsaro, CEO of the Giumarra Companies. “Our friend will be deeply missed. We offer our condolences to his family during this difficult time.”
