Texas vineyards and wineries assistance webinar June 17

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be presenting a webinar, CARES Act: Financial Tools and Resources to Help Texas Vineyards and Wineries, on June 17.

The free online event will run from 11 a.m.-noon. Participants must RSVP in advance via email to [email protected] to secure a spot and receive the link to join the event.

“AgriLife Extension is hosting this free webinar with the Small Business Administration out of San Antonio, who will provide the current aide options for commercial vineyards and wineries across the state that have been affected by the coronavirus,” said Michael Cook, AgriLife Extension viticulture specialist for North Texas. “This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered during this live event, which features an SBA representative.”

The featured speaker is Anthony Ruiz, U.S. Small Business Administration district director, San Antonio. He will discuss and answer questions about the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, CARES; the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program; the Paycheck Protection Program, PPP; and other resources available to small businesses in the wake of COVID-19. June 30 is the deadline for PPP loan approvals.
