USDA is taking nominations for qualified fruit and vegetable industry members to fill three vacancies on the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee.
USDA is set to renew the committee’s charter for two years as required by the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The current charter expires on March 26, 2020.
The Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee (FVIAC) provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Agriculture on issues of importance to the produce industry, according to an email from the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council. Qualified candidates may nominate themselves, or you can nominate another candidate who’s interested, qualified and agrees to the nomination.
Nomination packages, including a cover letter to the secretary, the nominee’s typed resume or curriculum vitae and a completed USDA Advisory Committee Membership Background Information Form AD–755 must be postmarked on or before November 21, 2019.
