Webinar: ‘Food and Farm Business Sales Channel Deep Dives’

An April 14 webinar at noon EDT will focus on selling at farmers’ markets, and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on that effort.

Novel coronavirus is changing how food businesses can sell their products. The “Food and Farm Business Sales Channel Deep Dives’” webinar series from Michigan State University will provide you with insight into industry adjustments to the coronavirus and considerations for selling through that venue.

This webinar will focus on selling at farmers’ markets. Each deep dive will start with 30 minutes of presentation, followed by 30 minutes Q&A.

In this webinar we’ll cover:

  • Overview of Executive Orders (and timelines) that are impacting Farmers Markets
  • MIFMA’s recommendations for market operations
  • Recommendations for alterations to their booth space and sales techniques
  • How to communicate food safety practices to customers
  • Continuing to support food assistance programs during this time of crisis
