The International Fruit Tree Association held its 60th annual meeting Feb. 19-23 in Wenatchee, Washington. The event featured two days of orchard study tours, the first being of orchards north of Wenatchee, the second being to the south. Stops included visits to McDougall & Sons, Auvil Fruit, Robinson Orchards, Divis Orchards, Willow Drive Nursery, BMR Orchards, Stemilt Growers and Yakima Valley Orchards.
The theme of “From Bud to Bin” featured numerous education sessions focused on trends and planning; systems for production; crop load balance and harvest maturity.
