Accomplishments
Smith is the proprietor of Butcher Crick Farms in Carlisle, Iowa. She is a graduate of Iowa State University (BLS, 2006) and Massey University (Graduate Diploma, Rural Agriculture, 2012).
In 2009, Smith started a robust heirloom vegetable farm focusing on heirloom tomatoes. Today, she sells her unique produce to local restaurants and the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market, in addition to hosting farm to table events.
