2022 virtual Tree Fruit Day set for Washington state

The Washington State Tree Fruit Association’s 20th Annual Tree Fruit Day on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 which will be “virtual.”

“Tree Fruit Day is extremely beneficial to our industry,” a notice from the Washington State Tree Fruit Association (WSTFA) stated. “It affords industry members the opportunity to meet participate with legislators to highlight the value of the tree fruit industry in Washington State. Don’t miss this chance to let your voice be heard. There is no substitute for growers telling their stories of how a proposed measure will impact their orchard operations. It is our job as industry advocates to set the record straight by educating those who lack an understanding of how a measure may significantly impact our industry.”

For more information contact Tim Kovis at the WSTFA office at (509) 452-8555 or mailto:[email protected].

Tree Fruit Day Promotes Industry and Legislative Policies

The 19th Annual Tree Fruit Day was held on Jan.  26, 2021 in Olympia. There were over 20 members that participated in over 60 appointments held with Washington state legislators. It speaks volumes when legislators thank us for participating and say “it is so great to hear from actual growers that take the time to come over and explain how they are directly affected.”
