American Agri-Women seeking influence leadership participants

American Agri-Women (AAW), a national coalition of women in agriculture, is accepting applications for its next cohort of its Road to Influence program.

This program is a leadership development initiative that is designed to empower women in agriculture by providing them with the tools, skills and networks needed to influence policy, advocate for the industry, and assume leadership roles within local communities and beyond.

The Road to Influence program offers a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on six key competencies, including self-awareness, communication, persuasion, and collaboration.

Participants will engage in a blend of in-person meetings, monthly virtual sessions, and hands-on projects, all designed to enhance their leadership abilities and build strong connections with like-minded women from across the country, according to a news release.

Heather Hampton+Knodle, past president of American Agri-Women, who was instrumental in developing the program, emphasized its importance.

“The Road to Influence program is about more than just leadership development—it’s about creating a community of empowered women who are ready to make a lasting impact in agriculture. We are looking for women who are passionate, driven, and ready to take their leadership to the next level,” Hampton+Knodle said in the release.

The Road to Influence program is designed for women involved in any aspect of agriculture, whether they are farmers, ranchers, agribusiness professionals, or advocates for the industry. Applicants should be passionate about agriculture and committed to advancing their leadership skills to drive positive change.

Applications are being accepted until Sept. 15. Interested candidates can apply online. Space is limited, so early application is encouraged.
