Azotic North America hires John Squire as lead agronomist

Raleigh, North Carolina-based Azotic North America has added John Squire to lead its agronomic programs in the United States and Canada. Squire brings decades of experience and deep expertise in crop science to helping farmers take advantage of Envita’s revolutionary nitrogen-fixing mode of action.

Envita is a nitrogen fixing solution that fundamentally changes the nitrogen equation on farms. Applied in-furrow or as a foliar spray, Envita works from within plant cells to fix its own nitrogen. Air is 78% nitrogen and Envita bacteria naturally metabolizes N directly from the air, providing a steady source of nitrogen when and where the plant needs it most, all season long.

“Envita gives farmers a tool they’ve been waiting for in corn and other crops,” explains Squire. “I’ve spent the last two years working with Envita, doing trials, helping farmers and I’ve seen the performance in the field for myself. Envita has untapped potential and I’m excited to help advance the understanding, improve efficacy, and expand applications of this beneficial organism.”

“Grower demand for Envita has hit unprecedented levels for 2021, our third year of commercial production,” said Nolan Berg, general manager Azotic North America. “John’s leadership will be a key part of helping farmers make the most of Envita on their farms as well as supporting our distributor and dealer agronomist network.”
