BRANDT to build Nebraska production facility

BRANDT, a retailer of agronomic services and manufacturer of specialty ag input products, plans to start construction on a production facility in Aurora, Nebraska, this summer.

The company plans for the facility, Advanced Ag Formulations, to begin production in the third quarter of 2024.

At nearly 100,000 square feet, the facility will produce the full line of BRANDT’s specialty ag products, including its flagship product technologies — BRANDT Smart System, BRANDT Manni-Plex and BRANDT EnzUp.

“We are thrilled to break ground for this new plant in such a key strategic location,” Bill Engel, executive vice president, said in a news release. “When this plant comes online, we’ll be able to better serve our existing and new customers in the upper Great Plains.”

The Advanced Ag Formulations plant will join BRANDT’s network of specialty formulations manufacturing plants in Pleasant Plains, Illinois; Avon Park, Florida; Logan, Utah; and Fresno and Visalia, California. BRANDT also has manufacturing in Brazil and Spain.

“This is our first ‘clean-sheet’ plant in the U.S. for many, many years,” Engel said in the release. “We’re planning to implement the latest technologies and include process best practices to create a state-of-the-art facility. Our goal is to build and operate the most efficient BRANDT plant right here in Aurora.”

BRANDT is celebrating its 70th year in business.
