Burro recently announced the launch of Grande 44, its newest autonomous work platform for nurseries and specialty crop operations.

The company says its new platform is engineered for the most demanding operational challenges — towing, transportation and vegetation management. Grande 44 is available for pre-order now, with first deliveries beginning in the second half of 2026.

Grande 44’s AI stack was developed and validated using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, enabling Burro’s engineering team to test and refine autonomous behaviors in physically accurate virtual environments before field deployment. By combining 1 million+ hours of real-world operational data with scalable synthetic data generation and software-in-the-loop validation, Burro says it accelerated development of Grande 44’s autonomy stack across perception, planning and control.

According to Burro, Grande 44 is it’s most capable heavy-duty platform, delivering:

  • 44 HP peak power (18 HP continuous) via high-efficiency brushless DC motors
  • Up to 6,000 lbs towing capacity across demanding terrain
  • Up to 1,500 lbs payload on a solid steel cargo tray (nearly 4 feet square)
  • Up to 40 kWh battery (10 kWh standard, expandable) for all-day runtime
  • 360° 3D LiDAR + RTK GNSS, 4 stereo cameras (12 total), and full lighting

A single Grande 44 can tow, transport, mow, spray and patrol — integrating with Burro’s Cortador (48″ autonomous brush cutter), Sprayito (vision-based spot sprayer), and Autonomous Charging Dock.
