California Fresh Fruit Association expresses support for USMCA
“Mexico and Canada have proven to be vital trade partners over the years for California’s fresh fruit growers and shippers,” the Association said in a statement. “The USMCA preserves and builds upon the existing trading relati
onship between the three countries and allows for continued growth.”
The California Fresh Fruit Association added that it encourages members of Congress to ratify the USMCA this year, while at the same time urges the Administration to retain the current NAFTA agreement intact until the new agreement is fully ratified.
“Passage of USMCA would boost both national and rural economies, while at the same time building upon the successes of NAFTA,” Radanovich said. ‘Our members look forward to continuing to provide the world’s freshest fruit to consumers around the world.”
