Florida Specialty Crop Foundation presents ag labor forum

The Florida Specialty Crop Foundation is preparing for its annual Agricultural Labor Relations Forum, where growers, shippers, farm labor contractors and others learn about ag labor law compliance and labor relations practices.

The forum is Sept. 28-30 in Orlando, Florida, at the Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. Registration is available online until Sept. 21.

Attendees will hear presentations on:

  • Recent legal developments concerning agricultural labor;
  • The Florida Worker Safety Program;
  • Fair Labor Standards Act/Wage and Hour compliance;
  • Keynote speaker Craig Reggelbrugge, senior vice president at AmericanHort; and
  • 1-9 compliance and more.

The Florida Specialty Crop Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 by the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association to support research and educational activities that benefit Florida’s fruit and vegetable producers and farmworker families.
