Several awards were handed out during the International Fruit Tree Association’s annual meeting in Pasco, Wash., March 1.
The 2011 Outstanding Extension award went to Karen Lewis, an educator for Washington State University Extension. The Outstanding Researcher award went to WSU’s Don Elfving. The Outstanding Grower award went to Auvil Fruit Co., Orondo, Wash. The Distinguished Service Award went to Pete Van Well of Van Well Nursery, Wenatchee, Wash.
