IFTA has new management – headquartered in Kennewick

The International Fruit Tree Association (IFTA) has selected Ag Association Management of Kennewick, Washington to serve as its association management company and association headquarters.

Ag Association Management owner Shane Johnson will serve as IFTA’s Executive Director.

“We selected Shane and Ag Association Management after a rigorous five-month search,” said IFTA president Rod Farrow. “Fifteen management companies responded to our RFP. Our search committee evaluated the top six proposals and invited four companies to face-to-face interviews. We concluded the interviews with a detailed discussion and unanimously agreed that Shane and Ag Association Management were the best fit for our organization and membership.”

IFTA is the premier provider of education and knowledge exchange through its Annual Conference, Orchard study tours and the Compact Fruit Tree Journal.

IFTA acknowledged and thanked Steve Drake, president of SCD Group Inc., of Fort Myers, Florida, for facilitating the successful search process.

Shane Johnson and Ag Association Management began transition right away and assumed all duties on Jan. 1.
