Marrone Bio expands sales team, establishes new sales territory

Marrone Bio Innovations (“MBI” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:MBII), a provider of bio-based pest management and plant health products for the agriculture, turf and ornamental and water treatment markets, has hired Rachel Land as Territory Sales Manager for the newly established Idaho territory.

Ms. Land was formerly with Dow AgroSciences in Nampa, Idaho, where she managed a significant sales territory. During her tenure at Dow AgroSciences, Ms. Land established and maintained relationships with key regional customers while driving double-digit revenue growth. Prior to Dow AgroSciences, she oversaw Fruit Science operations at Cal Poly Corporation in San Luis Obispo, CA. Ms. Land obtained a bachelor’s degree in Crop Science with a minor in Fruit Science from California Polytechnic State University.

“We are pleased to announce Rachel’s appointment as Territory Sales Manager for the Idaho territory, as well as our expansion into Idaho, Utah and Montana with crop protection solutions for various crops including dry beans, a completely new crop segment for MBI. Our newest product, Amplitude Biofungicide is effective against white mold, a key bean disease that growers are looking for a better solution to address,” said Kevin Hammill, chief commercial officer of MBI. “This hire is part of our comprehensive growth strategy to both gain market share in existing territories and crops, such as potatoes, and to expand into new areas of opportunity based on the feedback we’ve received from the marketplace. Our sales team is excited to leverage Rachel’s expertise to help create value for MBI’s customers and shareholders.”
