Michigan Spring Peach Meeting is virtual in 2021

The 2021 Michigan Spring Peach meeting is an annual meeting for Michigan growers and others in the Midwest region. This will be two half-day morning online virtual meetings to learn about all aspects of peaches and peach growing.

According to a news release, the meeting will focus on peach varieties, rootstocks, insect and disease management, labor, marketing strategies, chemical fruit thinning, tree training and cold hardiness.

Featured speakers include Hehe Wang, Clemson University; George Sundin, Michigan State University (MSU); Chalmers Carr, Titan Farms; Gabe Spurgeon, South Baldwin Farms; Ksenja Gasic, Clemson University; Phil Schwallier, MSU; William Shane, MSU.

Attendees will be eligible for credits toward their recertification of their Michigan pesticide applicators license.

Online registration and payment by credit card is arranged through MSU Events Management. Deadline for online registration is noon, Monday, March 8. The cost for both days is $15 for current Michigan Sponsor members and $25 for non-members.
