National ag employers group plans educational webinar series

The National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE) is launching an educational webinar that will kick off a series focusing on issues facing agricultural employers.

“This webinar series is an exciting expansion of services offered by NCAE,” said Nigel Bocanegra, Manager of Association Services.

The first webinar, “H-2A 101,” will be hosted by Tom Bortnyk, vice president and general counsel for MAS Labor. Bortnyk will provide education and expertise to educate new and prospective users of the H-2A temporary agricultural worker visa program and review the do’s and don’ts of the H-2A visa program. The webinar will also serve as a refresher for those who are already familiar with the program.

NCAE will host additional webinars throughout 2019, featuring industry experts who will provide insight and nuance to complex topics facing agricultural employers. “These webinars will be can’t-miss events for those seeking to stay current on issues facing agricultural employers in a very dynamic environment,” said Bocanegra.

The “H-2A 101” webinar featuring Bortnyk is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on Thursday, June 6. Registration will be limited to the first 100 participants. Participants will be eligible to receive one Professional Development Credit from the Society for Human Resource Management upon completion of the course.
