Organizers of the inaugural Great Lakes Tek Flex have announced that Niqo Robotics and Sabanto Autonomous Technologies have been added to the exhibitor lineup for the Sept. 10-11 event at Michigan State University’s Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center (SWMREC) in Benton Harbor.

With the additions, the event will feature 18 companies representing more than 20 agricultural technology brands, showcasing robotics, automation, drones and precision agriculture tools designed for specialty crop production.

“This event is the first of its kind in North America, right here in the Great Lakes region. Growers and agronomists are going to find new and proven agri-tech manufacturers demonstrating their technology and connecting with potential end users of these amazing tools,” said Mike Reinke, MSU viticulture xxtension specialist and GL Tek Flex board member.

The exhibitor roster also includes Verdant Robotics, Carbon Robotics, Ecorobotix, LJ Technologies, Pagco Harvesters, Burro, FrucoTec, Foundation Ag and Haggerty Robotics, among others.

According to organizers, the field event is designed for vegetable, vineyard, nursery and orchard growers across the Great Lakes region to see commercial agricultural technologies operating under field conditions. Demonstrations will include equipment and systems for precision spraying, autonomous vehicles, AI-powered crop perception, orchard management, planting, vegetation management, harvesting, drone applications and decision-support technologies.

The first day of the event will focus on live, in-field demonstrations that allow growers to evaluate commercially available technologies and speak directly with company representatives. The second day will feature discussions with government agencies, industry organizations and agricultural stakeholders focused on reducing barriers to technology adoption.
