Penn State plans Virtual Ag Issues Forum on CFAP 2

Penn State Extension is partnering with the Pennsylvania Farm Service Agency to offer a webinar, titled Financial Assistance through the USDA CFAP 2 Program, on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Learn about the CFAP 2 program and filing requirements prior to the December 11, 2020 deadline by registering at  https://extension.psu.edu/financial-assistance-through-the-usda-cfap-2-program.

Coronavirus has continued to impact agricultural producers across the country and has had significant impacts on market prices. USDA is implementing the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 (or CAFP 2) for agricultural producers who continue to face market disruptions and associated costs because of COVID-19.

CFAP 2 will provide producers with financial assistance that gives them the ability to absorb some of the increased marketing costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Up to an additional $14 billion was announced in a second CFAP 2 for agricultural producers who continue to face these market disruptions and associated marketing costs because of COVID-19.

Join Cynthia Walters and Callihan Dice of the Pennsylvania Farm Service Agency as they explain program eligibility and answer your questions.

Cynthia Walters is the Agricultural Program Specialist for CFAP for the Pennsylvania State Farm Service Agency located in Harrisburg, Pa. Callihan Dice is the County Executive Director for the Adams County Farm Service Agency, a division of the United States Department of Agriculture, located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

The webinar is free for all participants. To learn more or to register for the Nov. 19 webinar, visit https://extension.psu.edu/financial-assistance-through-the-usda-cfap-2-program or call 1-877-345-0691. You will receive instructions for accessing a webinar after registration. If you prefer to participate by phone rather than a computer, those instructions will be included.
