Syngenta promotes Kathy Eichlin in communications role

Syngenta has promoted Kathy Eichlin to head of U.S. Crop Protection Corporate Communications for Syngenta North America.

In her new role, Eichlin is responsible for leading the U.S. Crop Protection Corporate Communications Team, as well as external and internal communication strategies, crisis communication and community and employee relations efforts. Eichlin will remain a key member of the Syngenta North America U.S. Crop Protection Leadership Team and the Global Protection Communications Leadership Team.

“It’s been an honor to be a part of the Syngenta team for the past 15 years, and I couldn’t be more excited for this next step,” Eichlin said in a news release. “Syngenta has always been committed to pursuing innovation and positive transformation for the agriculture industry. As I step into this role, I remain equally committed to supporting U.S. farmers and retail partners ― doing my part to help improve their productivity, efficiency, sustainability and license to operate.”

With more than 30 years of corporate communications and public relations experience, Eichlin began her Syngenta career as head of internal communications for Syngenta North America and head of corporate business partnering, growing a team to support the Crop Protection and Seeds business units, while aligning with Canadian and Global Communications. Prior to Syngenta, Eichlin had corporate communications leadership roles at Virtua Health System, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Rush System for Health.

Eichlin is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and Ragan Communications Leadership Council Board. She’s been recognized for her dedication and industry leadership, receiving an Honorary American Degree from National FFA and was named “Woman of the Year” by the National Association of Professional Women.
