Oct 2, 2024California Court issues injunction against grape rootstock nursery
The California Grape Rootstock Improvement Commission has secured a court judgment against Herrick Grapevines, a Red Bluff-based grape rootstock nursery, for failing to meet state obligations.
The Tehama County Superior Court’s ruling includes an injunction that prohibits the nursery and its owner, Diego Barison, from conducting any business involving grape rootstock until all conditions of the judgment are fulfilled.
The commission is responsible for enforcing specific sections of California’s Food and Agriculture Code related to grape rootstock nurseries. The judgment against Herrick Grapevines is a matter of public record, available through the Tehama County Superior Court.
As of this notice, Herrick Grapevines has not complied with the court’s terms, and the injunction remains active. The commission advises the industry that any transactions involving Herrick Grapevines’ rootstock are in violation of the court order.
