California farm labor group sponsors forum

The California Farm Labor Contractor Association (CFLCA) is hosting its 12th Annual Ag Labor Forum, with more than 30 educational classes.

The event is Nov. 10-11 at the Visalia Marriott and Convention Center in Visalia, California.

Farm labor contractors, supervisors, growers, agriculture human resources and safety managers are invited to attend. Affiliated ag labor industry representatives can also benefit from the event, according to a news release. Attendees will gain invaluable business knowledge, tools, and connections to be a successful entity in the ag labor industry.

More than 30 educational classes taught in English and Spanish by industry leaders highlighting key safety, compliance, business strategies and solutions will be featured. Session topics include: Preparing for 2023 – Laws & Regulations; Updates on Worker Safety and Cal/OSHA; Adapting to the Labor Market and Limiting Risks and Liabilities. An optional 9-hour farm labor contractor licensing seminar is also available.

The event also features industry exhibitors and opportunities for networking.

“The CFLCA Ag Labor Forum is a great opportunity to expand the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the FLC and ag management industry,” CFLCA president Oscar Ramos said in the release. “Compliance is the core of our existence, and this event provides critical information needed to ensure your business stays profitable and safe.
