Captiva Prime insecticide by Gowan receives registration

Yuma, Arizona-based Gowan Company has received full state registration in the U.S. (excluding Alaska) and Puerto Rico for Captiva Prime, a natural repellent bio-insecticide. Captiva  Prime controls thrips and spider mites and will be sold into a wide variety of specialty crop segments.

Captiva Prime has been developed in collaboration with EcoFlora Agro a premier plant extract R&D company, and partner to Gowan.  Captiva Prime joins Gowan’s growing biorational portfolio aimed to help growers in controlling crop-damaging pests, while also providing effective solutions to the increasing crop production challenges like residue management, labor and harvest flexibility, and resistance management.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to bring a new innovative pest control solution to the market. Captiva Prime is truly best in its class and will deliver effective, flexible solutions to our growers,” said Jessica Samler, global biorational product manager at Gowan.

Captiva Insect Repellent/Insecticide is currently registered in all states, except Alaska, and also available for use in Puerto Rico.
