FGN webinar focuses on productivity in the apple orchard

The Fruit Growers News is hosting a webinar designed to inform apple growers how to profitably increase yields without increasing inputs.

The webinar, “Apple Production Challenges and Solutions: A Global Perspective,” is at at 2 p.m. Eastern Feb. 21.

Chris Koger, FGN managing editor, will be joined by Jason Haegele, North American Agronomy lead agronomist for ICL, and Diana Wieczorek, key agronomist and sales support for Poland and the Baltics for ICL. Haegele and Wieczorek are apple crop specialists at ICL.

They will present key information from crops around the globe, new research and best practices from a U.S. perspective. Growers are challenged by bitter pit, how to manage nutrient levels and market fluctuations.

The webinar will explore the common challenges and opportunities for apple producers, how to maximize inputs with application approaches, and strategies to increase yields and quality without significantly increasing inputs.

Participants are eligible for 1 CEU credit at the end of the webinar.
