Grapevine trunk disease management in dormant period viewed

Join the Eastern Viticulture and Enology Forum on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 3-4:30 p.m. ET, for the webinar “Advances in Grapevine Trunk Disease Management in the Dormant Period.”
This timely webinar occurs at the beginning of the dormant pruning period. Learn perspectives on trunk disease management and mitigation from two plant pathologists researching grapevinees in different climates.

Kendra Baumgartner is a research plant pathologist with USDA-ARS and the University of California, Davis, California. Mizuho Nita is an associate professor and Extension grape pathologist with the Alson H. Smith, Jr. Agricultural Research and Extension Center, Virginia Tech.

Baumgartner and Nita will cover trunk disease diagnosis, understanding careful vine removal, pruning decisions and use of chemical protectants.
