Miezio named Cherry Bay Orchards’ new president

Mark Miezio

Cherry Bay Orchards (CBO), a fruit grower with operations in both northern and southern Michigan, has named Mark Miezio president of the company. Former president and founding owner Don Gregory will remain as chairman, and Bob Gregory will serve as secretary of the Cherry Bay Orchards Board of Directors.

“We are very fortunate to have someone with Mark’s industry experience and passion to continue to lead our family owned farming operations,” Don Gregory said.

Miezio is a native of Illinois, and has been a part of the Cherry Bay team since 2008. He has his bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Illinois of Chicago, and his master’s of business administration from Michigan State University, Eli Broad Graduate School of Business.

Miezio and his wife Emily, along with their four children, live on the CBO farm in Suttons Bay, Michigan. Miezio is  involved and active in the Michigan fruit industry. He has served as president of the board of the North West Michigan Horticulture Research Foundation and the Michigan State Horticultural Society.

CBO is headquartered in Suttons Bay, where it operates over 2,000 acres of cherry and apple orchards.

It also has a satellite growing operation that is located in Hartford, Michigan.
