MSU Extension sets blueberry pre-harvest meeting

Michigan State University researchers and other berry experts will be presenting information at the MSU Extension blueberry pre-harvest meeting.

The meeting is from 5-7 p.m. June 9 at the Van Buren Intermediate School District Conference Center in Lawrence, Michigan. Online registration is required; the deadline is 11:59 p.m. June 8.

Scheduled presentations are:

  • 5 p.m. – Management of insecticides for blueberry pest control, Carlos Garcia, MSU Extension
  • 5:30 p.m. – Nematode management in blueberries, Marisol Quintanilla, MSU Entomology
  • 6 p.m. – Preparing for spotted wing drosophila management in 2022, Rufus Isaacs, MSU Entomology
  • 6:30 p.m. – Fruit rots: The long and winding road, Miles Lab, MSU Plant Pathology

Growers attending the meeting will receive 2 RUPs (restricted use pesticides) for renewing their pesticide applicator license.
