Neolithics launches produce inspection service

Neolithics has launched a new AI-based produce inspection service that provides results in minutes, speeding up the process for growers, distributors and supermarkets.

The technology analyzes both the internal and external qualities of fresh produce, offering rapid insights into factors such as ripeness, defects and quality.

The service can replace time-consuming laboratory inspections and is already in use by major avocado distributors. By streamlining assessments, Neolithics aims to help vendors make faster decisions and improve efficiency.

“Consumers are demanding fresh, high-quality produce,” said Dr. Timea Ignat, chief scientific officer of Neolithics. “By speeding up and providing objective inspection results, fresh produce organizations can ensure uniform quality for consumers.”

Israel-based startup Neolithics is an AI agri-tech company that works to optimize produce quality, safety and shelf life.
