July apple holdings storage reported 

U.S. national apple storage has declined. Read more about the seasonal change from June to July 2025.

The latest U.S. apple storage report from USApple shows a seasonal storage decline from June to July.

On July 10, the U.S. Apple Association, via its USAppleTracker report, reported the total number of apples in storage on July 1 was 39 million bushels.

While USApple reports there are no historical July data points with which to calculate year-over-year changes for the July reporting period, the July number is smaller than June’s 54 million bushels, which was 17% higher than the five-year average for that date. June’s report was 5% less than June of 2024, when apple storage totaled 57 million bushels.

Fresh apple holdings in July totaled 29 million bushels. In June, fresh apple holdings were 40 million bushels, 2% less than the inventories reported for June 2024 and 22% more than the June five-year average.  

Processing holdings totaled 11 million bushels. In June, processing apple storage totaled 15 million bushels, 13% less than 2024 on June 1 and 7% more than the June five-year average.
