USHBC seeks members of next leadership class

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council is looking for up to 10 professionals in the supply chain for the second class of the Blueberry Industry Leadership Program.

Applications for the leadership program are due by June 16; candidates can apply online.

The program, sponsored by Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, spans one year and takes an interactive approach through hands-on training, learning experiences, engagement with key industry players and exposure to the many components of the produce supply chain.

Fellows will experience:

  • Immersive, personalized leadership training.
  • Knowledge sharing from industry veterans and thought leaders.
  • Deep dives into innovation and technology.
  • Learnings on the impact of advancements in health and nutrition.
  • Business relationship building to activate a network within the industry.
  • Presentation and media training.
  • Camaraderie among fellows to create a lifelong support network and better understanding of the industry.

The program’s requirements include:

  • Four travel events over the course of one year (2023-24). Candidates must commit to participation in the entire program, including attendance at all in-person and virtual events.
  • Significant personal and company commitment.
  • A participation fee of $2,500 to cover all regular travel expenses and all content.
