Vestaron expands US sales force with new South-Central hire

Vestaron announced March 4 the appointment of  Jorge Moreno as territory sales manager for the South-Central United States, spanning Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. In addition, Moreno will coordinate business activities in Mexico as Vestaron expands throughout North America.

According to a news release, Moreno brings more than 25 years’ experience in sales, marketing, research and agricultural product development to the role. In his role with Vestaron, Moreno will play a key role in delivering revolutionary peptide-based Spear technology to growers in the region for protection of high-value crops including berries, vegetables, corn, cotton, peanuts and pecans.

“Jorge will be an excellent addition to the Vestaron team as we grow our footprint in this important market,” said Ben Cicora, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Vestaron. “His expertise in agriculture and understanding of this unique growing region are invaluable assets to our team.”

Most recently serving as biological and organic product sales manager at JHBiotech, Moreno’s background includes roles with industry leaders including Bayer Environmental Science, Agrium Advanced Technologies and Univar Environmental Sciences, now Veseris. Moreno holds a Master of Science from the University of Florida Environmental Horticulture Department.

This new hire comes on the heels of Vestaron’s Series B-1 funding announcement as yet another indicator of growth and continued innovation for the company.
