Berry marketer Somerfield Farms adds Brian Deese

Berry marketer Somerfield Farms, Wilmington, North Carolina, has hired Brian Deese as director of procurement and grower relations.

Deese has an extensive background in the agricultural industry and brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Most recently, he was sales manager at Highland Ag Solutions and was director of blueberry grower relations at Wish Farms before that. He was at California Giant Berry Farms’ East Coast operations in Winter Haven, Florida, for almost 12 years, in roles that included operations manager and business development.

Somerfield Farms, known for its commitment to quality and sustainability, is confident that Deese’s skills will contribute to the continued growth and success of the organization, according to a news release. In his role as director of procurement and grower relations, he oversees key aspects of the company’s supply chain and will strengthen relationships with growers.
