Hybrid 2022 Michigan Blueberry Kick Off Meeting is April 14

Michigan State University Extension and the Small Fruit Team invite all berry growers to attend the 2022 Blueberry Kick Off zoom/in-person meeting to receive updates on research and Extension issues important for Michigan’s small fruit industry in 2022.

The hybrid event will be held April 14 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Michigan State University (MSU) Trevor Nichols Center Conference Room, 6237 124th Ave., Fennville, MI 49408.

In 2022, MSU is offering hybrid Extension meetings, via zoom and in-person. This new format for delivering the Extension programs will facilitate access to growers interested in networking after two years of confinement due continued outbreak of the COVID-19. And at the same time will facilitate access to growers unable to travel to take part in this event in-person.

This is an effort to comply with all federal and state regulations demanding to restrict personal contact between people in large settings, and still be able to provide the assistance and educational programs needed by small fruit growers.

The meeting will be using Zoom software and after registration you will be sent information on how to access the zoom meeting. The presentations will also be posted on the MSU Extension Blueberries website soon after the meeting for public viewing.

Growers attending this webinar will receive three Restricted Use Pesticide credits for the renewal of their Michigan Pesticide Applicator License. However, to receive those credits growers, need to complete a short survey at the end of the webinar.

There is no cost to attend the 2022 Blueberry Kick Off Meeting webinar, but online preregistration is required.

MSU Extension is an Affirmative Equal Opportunity institution. Contact Carlos Garcia at [email protected] or 616-260-0671 by April 13, 2022, if you require special arrangements. Requests received after this date will be fulfilled when possible.

Do not forget to fill out the survey to receive three RUP credits for attending the 2022 Blueberry Kick Off Webinar.

Registration for 2022 Blueberry Kick Off Meeting is open.

Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on April 13, 2022.
